In yoga, asana, or pose, is one that is safe, comfortable, and stable. My understanding of embodiment in my yoga practice evolved alongside my furniture making. Not only did I apply the attributes of asana to how I felt in yoga, but how I felt using my furniture.

I built this desk and bench to fit me, in particular, my height (5' 2") and my handedness (left). 

The process began when I discovered the cherry slab, whose curve suited my posture, whose length suited my tendency to sprawl laterally.
